Love any article that wants to work on the child and grandparent bonding experience. I know for myself, that this experience was difficult. My family had moved to Ca. from Canada and with that we left all our family behind. I was just a baby and my contact with my grandparents was almost nonexistent. Today we live 1 mile from the grandparents and my kids have a real rich experience with my parents. We have even made handprints of the grandparents and handprints with grandma and the kids together. we are blessed. Grandparents are a blessing!
Grandparent relationships seem to come in all shapes, sizes and distances.
Our boys are blessed to have two sets of wonderful grandparents as well as some terrific great-grandparents. We’ve lived anywhere from 1,500 miles away, to sharing the same house and everything in between.
Long distance grandparenting is especially difficult when kids are young and don’t know how to
