The Baby Handprint Co Ceramic Green Ware and Bisque Hand and Foot Prints

I spend much of my time in my work studio to bring custom orders to my buyers on time. I love too create new items that can be purchased right out of my shop and shipped that week as well. Here in this picture I have some green ware and bisque ware. The difference for anyone who does not know about ceramic is that green ware is in it's most fragile stage and has not gone through a kiln firing just yet. Green ware needs to dry completely until there is no more moisture left inside clay. If there is any moisture / water left inside ceramic clay piece will explode inside kiln and destroy the piece and possibly others around it. Once ceramic clay is kiln fired for approximately 24 hrs up to 2370 F. then it becomes bisque ware. Looking at the picture below can you tell which is green ware and which is bisque? The white ceramic hand and footprints pictured are the bisque ware.

The process in whole takes around 2 months from time I receive your hand and footprint mold. Much time is due to transferring, etching, detailing, drying, cleaning, kiln firing twice, glaze painting and finishing with writing baby information on back, adding sheer white ribbon and securely packaging up to be sent out.
I begin with ceramic clay that is molded from your child's prints I receive. I then dry , clean, bisque fire, glaze paint and detail, glaze fire again and finish them with a ribbon. I also write personalized information on back about your child's birth. Size of plaque and age will determine amount written. I may write in pen and sealed, etched or painted on. I believe the best time to capture prints for a baby is between 1 month and 6 months when babies have some extra flesh to see all the wrinkles in hand and foot.
The Baby Handprint Co ceramic studio captures your child's hand and footprints to create a unique ceramic impression and 3d out print for your family to cherish. We use high quality non-toxic clay to take a detailed impression of the hands and feet of your child or pet. The print is then personalized, glazed and kiln fired to create a lasting ceramic keepsake to remind you of just how precious your little ones are.
